I graduated from Covenant Christian High School in 1993. By God’s guidance I returned to Covenant when I accepted a teaching position in 1998. In the meantime I received my B.S. from Dordt College with certifications in Biology and General Science. I’ve also taken classes at Grand Valley State University, Grand Rapids Community College, AuSable Institute of Environmental Studies, and at Davenport University. In the summer of 2006 I received my Masters of Biological Sciences Degree from Michigan State University.

In 2001 I was married to my wife Katie (VanDerSchaaf.) We have been blessed with three children, (Calvin, Anthony, and Nickolas). We live in Hudsonville, MI and are members of Faith Protestant Reformed Church.

My current teaching assignment includes Biology, Physical Science, Psychology, Economics and Law.
