“ . . . a goodly heritage is mine, marked out with gracious care”.

These beautiful words, adorning the entry way to our high school, aptly describe our sentiments of the Lord’s gracious provision during the 41-year history of our high school. At the beginning of our school’s history, our forefathers realized the necessity of a distinctive, Reformed, Christian, secondary education and enthusiastically undertook a major work – the building of a new high school. With the great blessings of a faithful God, that work was accomplished, with Covenant Christian High School opening in 1968 with an enrollment of 60 students in grades 10 and 11. Since then, God has graciously provided for us to support and fund 5 significant building/renovation projects.

• 1971 – 2 classrooms, locker rooms, and storage
• 1978 – gymnasium
• 1987 – computer lab, Science room, 1 classroom, and bathrooms
• 1994 – 6 classrooms and Music room
• 2008 – library expansion, second computer lab, networked computer system

Looking back on all these efforts, it is evident that we have experienced a goodly heritage, marked out with the Lord’s gracious care.

Now, in 2009 we humbly embark on another major building project, necessary to allow us to move the 9th grade into our high school and to accommodate anticipated growth in all grades. Enrollment is projected to increase from the current 220 students to about 350 students in 2012-13, when this project is expected to be completed.

In May of 2009, our school society approved a 3 million dollar budget to complete the renovations and additions to our facility. Currently, the School Board is working on the design details to best accomplish this. The current plan is to add 6 classrooms, 2 science labs, additional office space, a larger teacher lounge, locker rooms, and a larger academic support room. The plans for this project will be presented to our society when they have been finalized with the architects.

With God’s continued gracious care, we believe that this project, as has been our experience with our past projects, will enable us to better educate our children in the fear of the Lord and prepare them for their calling in this life. We ask for your prayerful consideration of this project as you read through this brochure and consider the financial needs presented.
